Adam grew up as a rich kid, He never had any friends, And no one to talk to. His Father sold cars, His business being "Gotham Cars", Adam worked there part time, Cleaning up around the shop. His Father was a nice guy, Adam looked up to him. His mother died when Adam was only 3 in a car crash, and his father and him lived together in a mansion in the rich area of Gotham.

On the weekends, Adam would practice Martial Arts with his Father, Since his Father was known to be one of the greatest Martial Arts Teachers of his day. Adam worked hard to get as good as his father, and was close to being so.

Adam always had a interest in computers, And he liked to build robots and any Gadgets that could help his father around his workshop.

Adam was finishing his shift in the shop as his father went to take the trash out, as he walked outside, Adam heard loud banging and a loud crash. Adam dropped the broom he was holding and ran to the door. What he found was his Father, lying on the ground, Shot. He saw a dark figure climb up the ladder to the roof of the building, Adam chased after him.

He chased him on several roofs, Adam was just slightly faster then the man he was chasing and knew he would eventually be catching up with him, And He was right, Adam got the man on his knees, he ripped off his mask, It was just some punk looking for Money, The Man got away, Adam yelled at him "I'll catch you, and any of your scum friends!", The man yelled out "I dare you to!" as he was laughing.

Since that day Adam vowed to cleanse the streets of Gotham of these acts of hatred, thus taking the name Double Dare.
